EDAC E-seal connectors

Acal BFi have been partnered with EDAC for 2 years. We are proud to announce that we are now selling the EDAC IP67 certified E-Seal connectors. The Waterproof wire-to-wire and wire-to-PCB connectors have the adaptability to suit a wide variety of our supplied industries, including industrial, transport, medical and military. The new EDAC series of connectors, 560 and 572, protect against dirt, dust and water up to 1m depth for up to 30 minutes.

560 Series IP67

EDAC 560 Series E-seal connectors

The 560 Series is IP67 certified and suited well to environments where high vibration can be expected. It is available in wire-to-wire and wire-to-PCB formats, with a rating to 3 A at 250 V. The connector can be ordered with 2, 3 and 5 contact positions, on a 2.5 mm pitch. The optional waterproofing caps that can fill unused contact cavities, which together with preinstalled seals provide a reliable waterproofing capability. The range utilises crimp contacts, which are available in 2 wire sizes, also used in the 565 range, alongside supporting hand tooling and semi-auto tooling to ensure secure crimping. The housing contains a contact retention system that stops accidental damage during the preparation and installation of wires. For full IP67 protection an audible click will indicate that the required compression to the wire gasket seals has occurred.

572 Series IP67

EDAC 572 Series E-seal connectors

The IP67 approved 572 Series has double latching to provide a stronger fit, making it perfect for harsh environment applications. The wire-to-wire and wire-to-PCB connectors can operate in temperatures ranging from -40° to +150°. They are available with 1, 2 and 3 connection points, on a 5.8 mm pitch. The crimp contacts, that are also suitable for the 570 range, are available in three wire sizes together with optional phosphor bronze contact material for additional vibration tolerance. As the contacts are crimped to the wire, the waterproofing seals are fitted. Each seal has an individual part number and are colour coded for easy identification of the correct size for the wire diameter being used. In order to ensure the connector isn’t damaged during the wire preparation and installation operations, there is a contact retention system alongside matched hand tooling and semi-auto tooling for secure crimping.
