CEO – high-power lasers with rock-solid, long-term stability

Cutting Edge Optronics (CEO), part of Northrop Grumman, are specialists in designing high-powered, solid-state lasers for rugged environments. They have developed one of the industry's highest energy-per-pulse pump lasers at 1kHz.

CEO leverage their comprehensive experience producing lasers for the military industry, to develop and manufacture a range of high-quality and stable laser modules, diode lasers and diode-pump-solid-state (DPSS) lasers, which can work more than eight hours a day for years.



CEO's laser gain modules are configurable, for resonator and amplifier designs, and ideal for integration into DPSS laser systems. These modules are offered with a variety of gain medium, rod diameter, rod length and diode bar count options as part of their standard range.

CEO's modules are designed to provide the power needed for applications such as airborne LIDAR, laser pulse train amplification, laser peening, flow diagnostics, pumping Ti:Sapphire amplifiers and OPCPA pumping.

CEO's CW and QCW pumped laser modules are high-energy, powerful building blocks for any DPSS laser system. The REA CW range offers output power from 10 to 650W, while the REA QCW range offers output energy from 160mJ to 7.5J per pulse.

RBA cost-effective laser modules

RBA cost-effective laser modules

CEO offer cost-effective CW and QCW pumped RBA laser modules. Their RBA CW range offers output power from 10 to 100W, while their RBA QCW range offers output energy from 50 to >500mJ per pulse.

CEO manufacture extremely stable, high-power DPSS lasers that provide consistent
results for accurate LIDAR, cutting, ultra-fast amplifier pump, laser peening, LCD repair,
laser cleaning and other applications.

Their DPSS lasers are manufactured to meet a wide range of performance specifications,
with wavelengths from 355 to 1064nm and energy per pulse from 0.2mJ to 4J available.

are offered on over 300 different types of material, and can be conductively cooled, water
cooled or micro-channel cooled to offer customers consistent, rapid results.

These submodules can be purchased individually or on more than 150 standard diode heat-sink designs. Their mounted, submodule range offers output power from 20 to 200W.

CEO offer a range of packaged laser diodes, designed to be easily integrated into a laser system or a direct-diode application. Their products offer output power from 20 to 19,200W.



eDrive

CEO manufacture laser diode drivers that are designed to manage all critical DPSS laser parameters including diode drive current and Q-switching. The eDrive series is available in 100A and 300A pulsed versions, and can be operated in CW mode.

The eDrive comes with a standard compliance voltage rating of 350V to allow several laser diodes to operate in electrical series. Standard user control features include current limit, duty-cycle limit, shutter control and safety interlocks, to allow customers to easily optimise and manage their laser system.
