Es stehen Ihnen zwei Modelle zur Auswahl:

Das Modell FWM8BLZ02-109042 ist ein Bluetooth-Funk-Beacon ohne Sensor und
Das Modell FWM8BLZ02A-109047 ist ein Bluetooth-Smart-Beacon mit Temperatur- und Beschleunigungssensor.

Beide Beacons kommen in einem  40.0 mm x 31.0 mm x 12.0 mm Plastikgehäuse und wiegen jeweils  nur 10 g. Die beiden Beacons werden von einer CR2450 Knopfzelle versorgt und haben das Fujitsu MBH7BLZ02 Bluetooth Smart Modul integriert.

 

Was sind Bluetooth Smart Beacons?

Bluetooth-Beacons sind Hardware-Sender, die ihre Daten an naheliegende tragbare oder fest installierte Empfänger oder andere elektronische  Geräte übertragen. Die Technologie ermöglicht es Smartphones, Tabletts und anderen Geräten, Aktionen auszuführen, wenn sie sich in unmittelbarer Nähe eines Beacons befinden.

Proximity Beacon

Bluetooth-Beacons verwenden Bluetooth Low Energy Näherungssensoren (Proximitysensoren), um einen universell eindeutigen Identifikations-Code zu übertragen, der von einer kompatiblen App oder einem Betriebssystem empfangen oder aktiv abgeholt wird. Der Identifikations-Code und weitere Bytes, die mit ihm gesendet werden, können verwendet werden, um den physischen Standort des Geräts zu bestimmen, Kunden zu verfolgen oder eine standortbezogene Aktion auf dem Gerät auszulösen, wie beispielsweise einen Check-In auf Social-Media-Kanälen oder eine Push-Benachrichtigung.
Eine App verteilt Nachrichten an einem bestimmten Point of Interest (POI), zum Beispiel in einem Geschäft, an einer Bushaltestelle, in einem Raum oder an einenm genaueren Ort wie einem Möbelstück oder einem Automaten. Dies ähnelt der bisher verwendeten Geopush-Technologie auf der Basis von GPS, aber mit einem deutlich reduzierten Einfluss auf die Batterielebensdauer und einer viel genaueren Präzision.

Eine andere Anwendung ist ein Indoor-Positionierungssystem,  über welches Smartphones ihren genauen Standort innerhalb eines Gebäudes oder Raumes erfassen können. Mit Hilfe eines Bluetooth-Beacons ist die Software eines Smartphones in der Lage, seinen relativen Standort zu einem Bluetooth-Beacon in einem Laden, Geschäft, Kaufhaus oder Einkaufszentrum zu finden.
Bereits jetzt werden in verschiedensten Kaufhäusern und Einkaufszentren Beacons genutzt, um Kunden spezielle Angebote durch Mobile Marketing auszuspielen und ermöglichen es um mobile Zahlungen durch Point-of-Sale-Systeme (POS Systeme) durchzuführen.

Bluetooth-Beacons unterscheident sich von einigen anderen standortbasierten Technologien, da das Beacon-System nur ein 1-Wege-Sender-System zum Empfangen der Daten auf Smartphones oder anderen Empfangsgeräten ist und es ist lediglich erforderlich, dass eine bestimmte App auf dem Gerät installiert ist, welche mit dem Beacon interagiert.

Anwendungsgebiete:

Werbung

Bluetooth-Beacons können verwendet werden, um ein Daten-Paket an Informationen zu senden, das einen Universally Unique Identifier (UUID) enthält. Diese UUID wird verwendet, um Ereignisse auszulösen, die für diesen Beacon spezifisch sind. Beispielsweise werden von bestimmten Beacons die UUID von einer App auf dem Benutzergerät erkannt, die dann ein Ereignis auslöst. Dieses Ereignis kann durch App-Entwickler ganz flexibel angepasst werden. Bei Werbung werden angepasste Push-Nachrichten an das Endgerät (z.B. ein Smartphone) gesendet und damit beispielsweise Preise oder Sonderangebote ausgespielt. Allerdings muss bei einem UUID-basierten System das Benutzerendgerät eine Verbindung zu einem Online-Server herstellen, der in der Lage ist, die Beacon-UUID zu verstehen. Sobald die UUID an den Server gesendet wird, wird die entsprechende Meldungsaktion an das Benutzerendgerät gesendet.

Eine weitere Methode der Werbung sind URI-Beacons (Uniform Resource Identifier) die eine URI-Übertragung ermöglichen und erlauben. Im Gegensatz zu den UUiD Beacons benötigen die URI Beacons keinen externen Server zur Erkennung. Die URI-Beacons übermitteln einen URI, der ein Link zu einer Webseite sein könnte und demr Benutzer wird diese Webseite  direkt auf seinem ihrem Handy ausgespielt.

Indoor Navigation

Die Indoor-Navigation mit Beacons ist im Moment in drei Kategorien unterteilt.
Die Installation von vielen Beacons pro Raum, Installation von einem Beacon pro Raum und die Installation von wenigen Beacons pro Gebäude.

Viele Beacons pro Raum

Mit mehreren Beacons pro Raum kann wir mithilfe der Trilateration die Position eines Nutzers auf etwa 2 Meter genau berechnet  werden. Denn alle Bluetooth-Beacons sind in der Lage, ihren Received Signal Strength Indicator (RSSI) Wert zusätzlich zu den anderen Daten zu übertragen. Dieser RSSI-Wert wird vom den Beacon Hersteller,
kalibriertund steuert die Signalstärke des Beacons in einem bestimmten Abstand und dies wird typischerweise in Metern festgelegt. Unter Verwendung der bekannten Ausgangssignalstärke desr Beacons kann eine Annäherungerfassung über den Abstand zwischen dem Beacon und des Endempfängers ( z.B. Smartphone) erfolgen.

Ein Beacon pro Raum

Diese Option ist für Shopping-Malls bzw. Einkaufzentren geeignet, die Kunden Ihre Angebote und Geschäfte näher bringen wollen. Durch die Nutzung von nur einem Beacon pro Raum kann ein Nutzer mithilfe einer virtuellen Karte aller Räume in einem Gebäude, durch das ganze Gebäude navigieren. Mit je einem Beacon in jedem Raum kann ein Benutzer eine App benutzen, um den Raum zu erkennen, in dem er sich befindetn, und ein alle Informationen über diesen Raum abzurufen oder einfache den kürzesten Weg zum einem nächsten Raum auszuwählen.

Wenige Beacons pro Gebäude

Beacons können in Verbindung mit der sog. „pedestrian dead reckoning“ oder auch Koppelnavigation, verwendet werden, um Checkpoints zu einem großen offenen Raum hinzuzufügen. Dieses Verfahren  nutzt den letzten bekannten Standort in Verbindung mit denr Richtungs- und Geschwindigkeitsinformationen, die vom Endgerät des Nutzers bereitgestellt werden.
Diese Technik kann verwendet werden, um die Position einer Person innerhalb eines Gebäudes zu berechnen und zu bestimmen.
