Dielectric coated optics

Altechna offer a wide range of Dielectric coated optics. This range are designed to be very stable, absorption-free multi-layer interference. They allow highly accurate and efficient separation of individual regions of the UV, visible and NIR spectra.

  • Wavelength range: 190 - 3000 nm
  • Dimensions: 5 – 200 mm
  • Shapes available: round, rectangular, elliptical

Available in a variety of formats including:

  • HR laser line mirror
  • HR right angle retroreflectors

Metallic coated optics

This range of Metallic coated optics offer a very broad reflectivity range and low chromatic dispersion, to provide the perfect solution for numerous applications including ultrashort-pulse applications which dielectric coated optics struggle to reach the required ultrabroad bandwidths.

Lenses

Altechna optic lenses which have been designed for applications where aberrations need to be limited. This range provides highly accurate and efficient photon control, which can be exactly products to meet your applications specification.

Prisms

Dispersing prisms are essential parts in most ultrashort-pulse laser systems. Altechna’s range are ideal for use as intra-cavity elements to compensate for dispersion of fixed-cavity optics, offering exact light diffraction effects.

Filters

Althechna offer a high-quality, comprehensive range of both Colour Glass Filters and Circular Variable Neutral Density Filters. These products are designed to offer an extremely economical way of filtering light for lasers or various other applications.

Axicons

Altechna offer both flat axions and 2 types of plano-convex axiular andcons: reg precision. The quality of the generated ring and Bessel beam as well as all mechanical tolerances are fully evaluated in our metrology laboratory using different measurement methods.

Waveplates

Altechna's Waveplates are made from high quality materials that exhibit consistent birefringence properties. Their range are designed to meet the needs of applications such as tunable laser sources, multiple laser line systems, and broad-spectrum sources

Thin film polarizers

Polarization optics are important for both intra and extra cavity use. Altechna offer a range of thin film polarisers to save weight and volume within their devices without influencing the output.

Glan type polarizers

Glan-type polarizers are mounted polarizing prisms used for applications that require broad spectral ranges, high extinction ratios and/or high polarization purities. Altechnas range are designed for precise “cleaning” the polarization of a light source, or for the attenuation of a polarized light source.

Polarizing cubes

Altechna offer polarizing cubes for both medium energy applications and high energy applications, such as laser-beam separation and combination, and optical-isolation applications. Their Polarizing beamsplitter cubes are easy-to-handle, high contrast and high extinction ratio polarizer.

Laser crystals

Altechna offer a market leading range of diode-pumped solid-state laser materials. These crystals offer a high laser-induced damage threshold, with good mechanical and optical properties. These crystals are available in a range of shapes, sizes and coatings.

  • Materials available: YVO4, YAG, YLF, KGW, KYW, CaF2
  • Aperture dimensions: Ø1 – 15
  • Surface quality, S-D: 10-5

Nonlinear crystals

Altechna’s nonlinear crystals can offer wide transparency and wide phase matching ranges, large non-linear coefficient, high damage threshold and excellent optical homogeneity. They are ideal for applications such as; optical parametric oscillators (OPO), optical parametric amplifiers (OPA), optical parametric chirped-pulse amplification (OPCPA), etc.

Passive Q-Switch crystals

Altechna’s passive Q-switches or saturable absorbers provide high-power laser pulses without needing an additional electro-optic Q-switches, thus reducing the package size and eliminating a high-voltage power supply.

Co:Spinel (Co:MgAl2O4) Crystals specifications:

  • Wavelength range: 1200 – 1600 nm
  • Absorption coefficient: up to 2.4 cm-1
  • Absorption cross section @ 1540 nm: 3.5×10-19 cm²

Variable and fixed ratio beam expanders

Altechna offer variable and fixed ratio beam expanders with high pointing stability and high LIDT AR coatings that minimize ghost reflections. Their variable beam expanders are designed for systems where different magnifications and precise control of laser beam divergence are required.

  • Wavelength range: 266 – 2000 nm
  • Expansion: 1-4x / 2-8x / 1.1x - 10x
  • Lens material: UVFS Transmitted wave front distortion, P-V <λ/4 @ 632.8 nm

Motorised attenuators

This range of motorised attenuators are essential in systems for which stable adjustments of laser power are necessary. The compact version of Altechna’s attenuators can be easily integrated into custom optical systems.

  • Clear aperture: 8 – 18 mm
  • Max input beam diameter: 5 – 12mm
  • Bandwidth: ±5 nm, up to ±10 on request
  • Typical applications: High power pulsed and CW lasers

Manual attenuators

Altechna’s range of precision laser beam attenuators control intensity without introducing a gradient in the distribution or changing the beams direction. Their range of manual attenuators incorporate a rotating λ/2 phase waveplate and one or two Thin Film Polarizers that separate s-polarized and p-polarized beams in parallel directions.

  • Clear aperture: 15 mm
  • Bandwidth: Up to ±50 nm
  • Configuration: λ/2 Achromatic waveplate + 2x Broadband (Ultrafast) Thin Film polarizers
  • Attenuation range (Tmin-Tmax) @ CWL: 4-96%, 0.1-70%
